NRL PRS Timer Privacy Policy
In short: NRL PRS Timer does not collect, store, share or sell any personal information. It has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics, and it does not connect to the internet. Everything the app does happens on your Apple Watch.
About this policy
This policy explains how NRL PRS Timer (“the app”), an Apple Watch app made by Dragonfly Machining Ltd. (“we”, “us”), handles information. It applies to the app only, not to our website or to other products.
Information we collect
None. The app does not collect personal information, and we do not receive any information from it. Specifically, the app:
- does not require or offer an account or sign-in;
- does not send any data over the internet, and has no servers;
- contains no advertising, analytics, tracking or third-party software development kits;
- does not access your location, health data, contacts, photos, microphone or camera.
Information stored on your watch
To work, the app saves your settings on your Apple Watch, for example your chosen timer list, alert choices, alert type, haptic and shake settings, and the last timer you used. These settings stay on your watch. They are not sent to us or to anyone else. They are shared only with the app's own watch face complication, so that it can show your timer. Deleting the app from your watch deletes these settings.
Motion sensor
If you use “shake to start”, the app reads your watch's motion sensor while the start screen is showing, so that it can detect a shake. The motion readings are used on the watch at that moment only. They are not saved, recorded or shared.
Voice, sounds and haptics
Spoken alerts are produced by your watch's built-in text-to-speech, and dings and wrist taps are generated on the watch. No audio is recorded, and the app does not use the microphone.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app schedules a local notification on your watch so that you are alerted when a timer ends. These notifications are created on the watch and are not sent through any server.
Keeping the app running during a timer
While a timer is ready or running, the app asks watchOS to keep it active (an Apple “extended runtime session”) so that alerts still play when you lower your wrist. This does not collect or share any information.
Information Apple may provide to us
If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports and usage statistics, as described in Apple's own privacy policy. This information does not identify you, and we use it only to fix problems with the app. You can turn this sharing off at any time in your iPhone's Settings, under Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements.
Children
The app does not collect information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Because we do not collect or hold any personal information through the app, there is no personal information for us to provide, correct or delete. You remain in full control of the settings stored on your watch, and can remove them by deleting the app.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the app handles information, we will update this policy and its effective date. If a change would mean collecting personal information, we will update the app's privacy details on the App Store before releasing that change.
